Um what ? If the party kills 50% of trash mobs, the party gets 50% tomestones upon completion. Is that difficult to understand or?
Personally, I like the idea of having a little bit of hate on the entire party if someone aggros something...
Glitching should definitely be dealt with but tank pull/raise isn't anything outside the normal game mechanics so that should be left alone, and if it's something they want to avoid in future then they only need to make dungeons with lots of locked doors/magical barriers to stop people avoiding the trash.
Alternatively - make trash worth killing! A chance of a good item drop or simply worthwhile gil would do wonders; or if that's too much why not cut the trash out altogether and have a boss rush dungeon or one that's full of tricks and traps instead?
~Note to self: Stop logging out in silly hats~
thanks for ruining a good thing OP
Could always make trash pull into the boss fights if they aren't cleared.
Sure a good group maybe able to clear it like that, but it'll make the fights more difficult and they aren't able to just flat out avoid trash that way.
AK is so damn boring, I pretty much sleep through it even while running past all the mobs.
Mechanics like these are something normal to an mmo, and while it seems unfair people actually take a risk at one shotting a boss otherwise they need to "run" again. Moreover the one dying is spending money in repairs everytime.
The better solution would be to give people an incentive to kill those trash mobs instead of skipping them(gil/boosted tomes/random drops) rather than just making it a timesink.
You shouldn't have to kill anything you don't want to...if they want you to kill it all then they should put in something that makes you. You do not have to fight every mob you come across in the open world do you?? I also agree that if you are running the Dungeon for the 8-10th time to either gear out or gain Mythology that would really suck to have to keep beating all those mobs...especially when you are not leveling because you are already at 50.Can someone tell me if you just flat out stop gaining XP at 50 or does it "secretly" still track??
