Open Letter TO the Producer and Dev Team (Warning it's long ; ;)

While I think (some of) your ideas are great I also think you should understand that if every single person with an opinion were to post a "letter to the producer" the forums would be nothing but that. I know you put a lot of effort into this but I think it would've been a better idea to divide these opinions and post them in the related topics that are already floating around.

The last thing we need is a topic from every single person, that's a guaranteed way to make sure the devs don't read any of it.

OP, why would you think people would care about your letter? Is it some kind of public catharsis for you? I believe the purpose of these forums is to disseminate RELEVANT information, not become a pedestal for ranting. We all know what is wrong with the game. At this point everyone whom is still playing is playing because we WANT the game to get better. You obviously spent a lot of time on this "letter" which probably wont get read by anyone whom can do anything about whatever you said. But if this made you feel better as a person, and you wanted to become relevant on the forums, well I think you didn't accomplish the later.

If you want to make an impact, cut it down, post where it counts, and frankly I doubt if any devs read or will read anything here, especially from the English forums, so its probably akin to masturbation.

While I actually agree on this - the letter is WAY TOO LONG to read unless you actually decide to take a minute and read it - However I also think that devs (or at least their PAs) do read letters that are especially written for them.

I work for a place where we get feedback from people all the time and actually improve our services based on this feedback. Yes, most of the time we ignore rants that have no beginning nor ending but sometimes when we see that someone has actually put effort in writing things down, we do take the time to read it.

Another example... I had a huge issue about a year ago with getting internet to my house because the cables weren't working or something (didn't really look into it), my ISP's customer services couldn't really do anything about it and I was being passed from one person to another. I wrote to several forums complaining about this and then when I finally got enough I wrote a LONG LETTER to the DIRECTOR of the company. A day later (yep, not even lying) I got an email from him and another email from his secretary apologising for the delay and that same week I had internet working in my house. After all this I got a call from the director asking if everything was ok... I was a bit surprised that all this had happened... ESPECIALLY when I saw this same guy on the morning breakfast TV talking about the Internet market in the UK.

My point is, don't be so cynical about people writing long letters to the devs, they do get read occasionally. The forums might not be the place to post long lists like that, but who knows... maybe this time you will get lucky and someone important might use it as a "light reading" while they drink their afternoon tea.

The point is: If its a letter to the devs, SEND IT TO THEM, don't try to submit us to your convoluted opinions. This isn't a poll, you don't get points for how many people read it and agree with you. I am sure the poster with the cable problem didn't post his letter to the open forums of his cable company, he sent the letter TO them. This is why forums fail, useless or less than useless information. Minutes we will never get back (grabs coffee cup).

To anyone replying with TL;DR, what is the point in replying to this thread if you cannot even be bothered to read the OP. It is people like Alexia who can actually be bothered to outline these issues and sit down to write an informative and constructive letter so the devs can work on making this game more enjoyable for the playerbase.
