All Mind? Or should I put some Piety in the mix?
Would probably help if you posted in the right forum.

i would put a couple into piety like a 70/30 mix, extra MP is always useful![]()
I just go all mind. Piety is useful as the above poster said, but I think we will get enough from gear.
The reason I go all mind is because it makes all cure spells better, and then POOF cleric stance and now all your attack magic is strong as hell.
Just my opinion, I don't really think there is a right or wrong answer to it, but that's how I roll!
I did the same thing for the same reason. I appreciate the mana pool, but the stronger your heals are, the less mana you spend to heal (as long as you don't over-heal).I just go all mind. Piety is useful as the above poster said, but I think we will get enough from gear.

I put some into Piety.
Stat bonus is great, but what use is a strong heal without being able to cast it? + other spells come into the mix and at 50 it can cost you 768 mana per ress
WHM should have some MP restoration ability, like ARC has.
Aetherflow is on a 1 minute recast. The trick to using Shroud of Saints is to use it early and often, after you've lost some MP, so you can stretch your MP out longer and it will be ready for use again later on.
As WHM you would have an argument for putting points into MND, VIT, and PIE, so any of the 3 in any combination would be perfectly fine. Another thing to keep in mind about VIT and PIE is that the increased HP and MP means that your auto-regen and auto-refresh are more potent which, in MP's case, be a great boon in the long run.
Personally I did 20 MND, 10 VIT, as many of the high tier bosses have strong, unavoidable AOE attacks or unavoidable AOE pokes. Having extra HP to weather that is very useful, as a healer that can't survive is dead weight.

I actually have seen some people argue that all healer should at least invest in some VIT.
They justify that since when a WHM/SCH goes down, pretty much there is no come back (since spells such as Reraise doesn't exist yet) and a wipe is usually imminent. Unless a THM/BLM with cure/physik, or ACN/SMN assume the role of main healing
Upon hearing this, I held back on my point distribution and left 15 points unallocated...
Any thoughts on this?
