Immortal Flame promotion

Welp, I just can't get promotion.
I've completed 2nd rank of Immortal Flame log at around lvl 38. I was Flame Sergeant First Class at that time. When I went to take promotion to Chief Flame Sergeant, it said about trial from commander. Well, I waited for 44 to take this trial (Shadow Uncast), completed it and was able to get promotion to Chief Flame Sergeant. Now, when I try to get promotion to Second Flame Lieutenant, it says that I need to complete log (which I have done long ago) and complete trial from Commander. There is no other trial from Commander available so it looks like I'm stuck.

You need to hit level 50 first. The text doesn't mention it, but I had this same problem and a new quest to run Amdapor Keep suddenly popped up on the leader after I had finished the main story line.

I have the same issue here, but with Maelstrom grand company, done all haunting log, done the quest (dungeon), but no way to obtain the next step. And now I'm level 50. Do I really need to finish the storyline? I'm missing only the last raid.

You have to complete the main story and then the commander of your GC will give you a quest for Ampador Keep.
After you finish it you'll be able to get your 2nd Lieutenant promotion (if you finished the GC hunting log).
It doesn't state this anywhere unfortunately which might come over as confusing. This is however how it's done.

In steps (assuming 2ndLTN is the last promotion to go):
* Finish GC hunting log rank 2
* Hit level 50
* Finish main story
* Go to GC commander for new quest
* Finish Amdapor Keep
* Promote

Yea I can confirm, after main story quest completed, the quest popped out.
