What happen to linkshell companies? are we still getting our linkshell building and airship or is that out of the question now yoshi?

Before I became producer/director, in the old 1.2 patch notes it mentioned that we will be releasing player Companies. The thing is, we realized that we could bring out player Companies, but then if there's nothing for the Companies to do there wouldn't be any reason to bring it out. We decided to reverse that and first make sure that there's going to be content and stuff for the Companies to do before releasing the Companies. The whole coming danger that's approaching Eorzea is going to play a big part in something for the Companies to do.

what are we calling it dungeon and raids? this is not WoW this is Final fantasy you could have call it something else stop trying to be like wow. At the end wow players would come join ffxiv leave and go back to wow or blizzard next gen mmo which is coming out in 2-3years.

Because WoW totally invented instanced dungeons/raids. It's not like any game has ever done that before or that it's become somewhat of a staple of the genre, oh wait...

why are you even changing Hamlet Defense? it was a great idea they was no need to remake it at all.

Checked into the status of hamlet defense battles for you all. While the details/concept won't be exactly the same after shifting to the new team, there is something similar planned. The current plan is to implement settlements for this purpose in a future patch.

Hey Sorel, while I don't have any addition details to add at the moment, I don't think the comment that Rukkirii posted went so far as to say current hamlets won't be utilized at all. I would just take her comment at its face value and hang tight until further information is posted in the future.

They haven't said anything about the new version aside from the fact that it's not the exact same thing. That doesn't mean it's an entirely different concept, they even said that something similar was planned. How about you wait until they actually give us info before whining?
