What was this game going to be?

What i called Dungeons was areas in the game that you not allow to use chocobo like kuftal tunnel and many dungeon areas within FFXI. I just think it better if we use a diff name for the dungeon and call "Raid" endgame. Becuase i bet not a lot of players even know what Raid stand for. i just think "Endgame" sound much cooler then saying Raids oh let's do some raids o.o.When you say Endgame it's like the Final Boss the end of your quest. Raids is more of a small party of ppl going in and killing everything

But whatever i really don't mind what they call them as long as there not like the west version of mmo like aion,rift,wow even if aion is not a west mmo it still using the west terms and play ways to make the game. Yoshi-p may have play many online games but that still don't give him enough to be a leader in making a mmo at least that what i think that just my opinion i'll see how the game be onces they fix everything and then he on his own to make up new ideas for the game maybe he can make this game much better then it is or maybe it just become a wow type game which i hoping it wont be.

Don't get your hopes up. Every single choice they have made over the past few months has been to make this game into WoW-FFXI as soon as possible.

And are you ok with that? are any of us here who enjoy the way ffxiv was going to be from the interview really enjoy this? The idea of final fantasy xiv was to give players something away a new from wow type games. Sadly it seem that yoshi-p is not the best guy in the world for this game and once again i lost trust for him the only thing he said i like was he going to add RDM,WHM,BLM,MNK but he thinking of a tree base system which is just like wow -.- sadly i guess i have to deal with it and play "Final Fantasy XIV Warcraft"

Of course I'm not okay with that. FFXIV had potential to succeed its predecessors. Now I doubt it's capable of even making a dent in the market. And absolutely no future content suggests otherwise.

How much more forgettable could Yoshi make FFXIV?

If they want to improve FFXIV, get rid of Guildleves. Don't get rid of active combat! The imbeciles who make these decisions deserve to be fired.

Seeing how FFXI was i don't really think so the best they do just a few ads in gamestop then gamestop,ign and other website would try and give a good review but only say this game look awesome but it still lacking we give it a 6out10 because it look so awesome -.-

hands down this game wold be anywhere near RIFT or wow player base just the fact that SE does not really do much market out side usa. But then again in E3 they did have lot's of FFXIV even a big ass final fantasy when you enter so i have to agree maybe but i don't give that much hope.

at least fix the payment and give us time card and a way to pay you straight up and paypal way then others would play this game also.

I wonder if FFXIV still looking at this game as to get more older players? i remember tanaka saying that this game is aim more for the older player base but not sure about that anymore.

When it is ready they will have to do a lot of marketing to get back the players they lost and bring in the new ones. The fate of the game really depends on how well they do at PS3 release as they will bill it as a relaunch of the game really.

Very true but i wonder how long that would take i hoping that 1.18 and 1.19 bring in the new battle and class system and maybe by patch 1.20 and 1.21 this game would be up and running to a good mmo. I wonder if they thinking of releasing FFXIV for ps3 this year or maybe next year. I think they making a new pack to be release for the PS3 if not they just going to release FFXIV on the ps3 how it should have been from pc release.

I think it will be September on its 1 year anniversary. Yoshi P. said in an interview that September would be when he see new players and old players coming back to FFXIV. That to me pretty much confirms it but they aren't going to make it official until they are sure it will be ready by then as they can't afford to screw this launch up.

I am not worried about content as I believe they have loads ready to go, the evidence is all around that stuff has been pulled from the game at the last minute. I imagine they are waiting for the core mechanics to be finalised like the battle system to be put in so they can balance the content for it all at once. Then SE have 2 choices really:

1. Give us the content asap, it would create some hype and get PC players back, but they wouldn't have much to help generate more hype for the PS3 release.

2. They save as much as they can for PS3 release then show us what is coming for it and use that to generate even more hype and get PC and PS3 players into the game. If they say on PS3 launch they will put in Chocobo's, Airships, New cities (Ishgard), new missions, new quests, new gear, remove R50 level cap and so on.

I think they will go with option 2 but we shall wait and see.

They said Ishgard would be opening once they fix the battle system which i think it's 1.18 or 1.19 let's see if they do open it up. I hope ffxiv would get good but i not seeing much hope for now at least.
