    What new jobs/classes would you like to see in a dlc?

    Just a random thought I had today while playing.
    For me it would be a Red/Blue mage job and a hunter class to make it easier to get stuff from animals. Also the hunter class would be a prerequisite for the blue mage.
    Like I said just a random thought of mine. But what would everyone else like to see?

    * The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.

    Well, I've added a thread about this back in the ARR beta forums. I didn't get to quite save a lot of the message when I was posting my thread about my ideas for the upcoming classes for the next Expansion. Anyway, mine would be like this:

    Classes so far the in the starting city places prediction:
    Limsa Lominsa: Marauder, Arcanist, Musketeer(uses musket firearms, then the corsair upgrade class uses dual pistols), Fencer, Flayer (uses whip or flail-whip type weapon)
    Ul’dah: Pugilist, Gladiator, Thaumaturge, Enforcer (uses blunt weapons like a mace medieval club weapons like the mornings star, etc.), Stavesman(specializes better use in staff weapon for magic melee power perhaps? )
    Gridania: Conjurer, Lancer, Archer, Mystic, Bard(since Bard already exists for the Archer class upgrade, they should completely change the Bard class which is completely the wrong upgrade for Archer)

    So far my idea of additional classes and some of the 3rd and 4th advancement job for a few classes:
    Disciples of War:
    - Marauder > Warrior > Warlord? >
    - Gladiator > Paladin > Templar > Crusader?
    - Lancer > Dragoon > ?
    - Pugilist > Monk > ?
    - Archer > Ranger > Scout?
    - Musketeer (Weapon: Single pistol)
    1. Option 1 upgrade: Corsair (Weapon: Dual pistols) (Role: Support, Status Debuffs, Buff, DPS)
    2. Option 2 upgrade: Machinist (Weapon: Rifles, Muskets) (Role: DD/Burst Damage Single-target, DPS)
    - Fencer (Weapon: Sharp edge swords: Rapier, sabre, etc.):
    1. Option 1 upgrade: Duelist (Weapon: Dual-wield Swords) (Role: Off-Tank, More DD/Burst Damage,DPS)
    2. Option 2 upgrade: Rune Fencer (Weapon: 2-Handed Sword/Great Sword) (Role: Tank, Support, DPS)
    - Thief : (Weapon: Daggers)
    1. Option 1 upgrade: Dancer(Weapon: Dual-wield Daggers) (Role: Support, Buff, DPS)
    2. Option 2 upgrade: Ninja (Weapon: Dual-wield Daggers) (Role: Off-tank, DD, DPS)


    Disciples of Magic:
    - Conjurer > White Mage > Seer/Seeress > (http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Seer = http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/White_Mage) (The Seer job is usually a stronger version of the White Mage.) > Geomancer/Devout/Priest/Priestess
    - Thaumaturge > Black Mage > Black Wizard/Dark Wizard > Sorcerer/Sorceress >
    - Arcanist: (Weapon: Book) By the way, since they already added these two optional upgrades in this game, I'll just add them here for Scholar.
    1. Option 1 upgrade: Scholar (Weapon: Book) (Role: Support, Buff, DPS)
    2. Option 2 upgrade: Summoner (Weapon: Book) (Role: Support, DD, DPS)
    - Bard (Weapon: Instrument> Musician > Poet > Enchanter/Enchantress
    - Mystic (Weapon: ?) (Role: ?)
    1. Option 1 upgrade: Illusionist?(Weapon: ?) (Role: ?)
    2. Option 2 upgrade: Puppetmaster (Weapon: Hand) (Role: Support, Buff, DPS)

    Disciples of the Hand:
    - Engineer/Gadgeteer (Weapon: Blowtorch or Wrench?)(Role: Designing technological items, parts, weapons, etc. wepaons like making Musketeer's guns, etc.
    ^^ Maybe if Engineer job doesn't work out, they can just add recipes for making guns for Alchemist job.

    Advance classes:
    - Dark Knight (Weapon: Scythe or 2-Handed Sword/Great Sword, Scythe) (Role: Off-tank, consume HP for higher dps)
    - Samurai (Weapon: Great Katana) (Role: Off-tank, attribute debuffs)
    - Flayer(Weapon: Chain Whip/Flail-whip) > Scourger >
    - Red Mage (Weapon: Sword/Dagger)
    - Blue Mage (Weapon: Club)
    - Gun Mage (Weapon: Pistol)

    Firstly - and I know I'm being a jerk - it's not DLC, it's expansions.

    BUT... I would love to see Samurai. Reason: My husband would consider playing slightly more than not at all.

    A new Disciple of Land which replaces the need to get on Disciples of War/Magic to farm monsters. I imagine it's Prospect/Triangulate comparative ability would reveal special monsters on the map; Where a pack of goats spawn, there is now a set of dead goats you can harvest hide/horns off of. Where some sheep spawn, there is now a docile sheep you can sheer fleeces off of. Something like that would be really great (and Ishgard should have its own Disciple of Land, and they did seem like they'd be getting a Beastmaster style class in 1.0), I'm getting pretty tired of competing over monsters to farm items... It would also be nice if I didn't have to slow down people actually killing things to level/hunting log/whatever.

    I like this a lot. Farming Toads for their skin has been... annoying.
