In-game mail with a free character customization option.

My friend just told me that he got in-game mail. Apparantly he got a mail including some potion, that when consumed would allow him to change his character's appearance next time he Went to the login screen.

My question is: Why did he get this mail and I did not? We both have exactly the same subscription. The standard pre-order edition.

It's for 1.0 players who did not get the option to import their appearance data from the benchmark (pretty much everybody).

You'll get a phial when you pay your first sub.

It's possible some other players didn't have the option too. SE sent these potions to all affected.

You will receive the potion as soon as you are billed for your first month of service and the payment goes through.

If he added a time card he would have gotten his now as it counts as already being billed for the month whereas everyone else has to wait for the money to come out.

Edit - to be fair you are being very vague, and you never actively mentioned that he hasn't paid for any subscriptions etc. We're simply just telling you the only ways this would have happened, whether you accept them or not.

So, (sorry Maelric, this isn't an answer for you but a question on some of the comments that have already been posted here) question for anyone who knows - is getting a bottle of fantasia a perk of being a subscriber? Do you get to change your appearance every month, or is it a first-month only thing?
