How to get your money back: credit card

Because of the lack of support, I'm almost at the end of my patience. Some of you may already be past that point.

my frustration is posted here http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...ltiple-ways%29

For those of you unsatisfied with your purchase, just wanted to remind you that you can call up the 1800# on the back of your credit card that you used to purchase the game and dispute that you recieved a proper product. they will initiate a reversal on the transaction, and you will indeed get your money back.

Give up just as things are getting fixed, big woopty doo. Don't need to create 100 threads about it, just quit and never play another early access or freshly launched mmo because the story is always the same and its annoying as hell. Do some mmo research before giving so much hell or throwing your money around. The risk was always there and they also gave an additional 7 free days to people, thus you're not losing much. Also in the future be more mindful to what servers you chose to play on.

the problem for me is that my original character with my prepurchased bonus items are on the disabled service account. I added the full version game code exactly as the instructions described, but instead it is a seperate service account. my first week of playing is wasted and the bonuses lost. I will not accept that all of my previous progress is lost.

agree with some of what you say, but be more mindful of what server you play on??

its not as if there is any detail advising which realms are low and high pop, and every server is full to bursting. Please get your facts straight.

You can put in a ticket and they will solve the service account problem by merging the two.

To anyone that wants to use the number on the back of their card, be warned. It could be considered fraud since you did receive the product and it clearly states that you might not be able to access the game. People did the same thing on Diablo 3 and a lot of them not only got their Battle.Net account banned, they also got their credit frozen for investigation.

So you've actually done the chargeback or you're just threatening to?

If you're posting this in the hope that Yoshi will come online and beg you personally to stay, I think you'll have a long wait!

they gave you a free month sub so you can decide what you want to do at the end of that, so imho wait it out and stop freaking people over something its WELL knows before ffxiv launched the game, problems like that happens to all new mmo games dont be such a hard a**

In this case as it relates to SE, since they have addressed the issues for the masses and offered a fair and reasonable compensation, I would say to avoid a charge back unless its a last resort.

As for Blizzard Entertainment, they had several small claims courts rule against them in regards to Diablo 3. Most of the judgments stated misrepresentation and failure to meet a burden of reasonable expectations against them. One case added Tortious interference against a third party assisting Blizzard and he got a max amount of damages against Blizzard Entertainment, and all his attorney fees and court costs.
