The same thing happened with Aion's launch, the devs are more focused on streamlining the servers that no time can be spent dealing with the RMT. When SE finally gets a grip on this, the issue will become a joke you reminisce about.

They might as well block shout chat, it's insane in major cities. They want to spend money on a fairly useless app, but they really need to focuse on this.
Just a few ideas/suggestions/views
1) it is clear that there are no gm's on servers as there are bots in citys spamming the same message so fast that nothing else in general can be seen for hours on end.
2) the only way I currentlysee to stop it is to black list the person, this isnt too hard but could be made a lot easier (click name, blacklist) (click name, report).
3) the report system is too slow and over-complicated.
Yeah I'm blacklisting them all, and it's a real pain, where is customer support for this? SE talk to us about this!!!!
Upon entering any city, especially first time in the day, i have to block 3-5 spammers, and have even made a macro to block tells. I've got close to 100 blocked already, out of 200. It will be full before the end of the month. I used to feel bad for people that got banned because they got hacked, but i'm starting to not feel so bad.
Frankly, square should do a full password reset for everyone, ip location different lock account, force it or something.
Having gil so hard to make at 50 certainly doesn't help at all, they have a market. This is part of why i hate when games talk about their economy, just seems to mean that there will be a lot of gold sellers, bots and farmers. :P
This plague will not stop actually. Its either gold spammers share real money to the MMO's company holder or afraid to wipe them out coz these spammers are techy guys who hammers the server if kicked-out totally.
There is only a few ways to remedy this: GW2 and Eve has done this in their own ways. GW2 was bad at the start but it has not been a problem for a very long time; I have not seen a farm bot nor a spammer in quite sometime. One way is something like gem cards/sales in GW2 imo where players can exchange them for gold or vice versa...seem to work really well in combating these....leeches. If you make the game not worth a gold farmers time to invest in, they WILL eventually not bother.
One cool way would be sue those goldseller as criminal, make them pay their crime selling gold with 10-15 years of jail. International tribunals, immediate incarceration.
One day will will have this peace. Or maybe it's just a dream..![]()
FF11 already had a good working spam filter, why the f**k didn't they just bring it over to FF14 as is? Didn't they think 14 would experience exactly the same problems??
one good way to stop this would be for players to stop doing business with them...
