Serpent Seals?

I don't know if this has been posted, or at least I haven't found it...Last night I received the achievement for 10000 serpent seals, however based on the seals I have in my currency and the number I've spent, I've only received 5490 seals, but the game seems to think I've received 10,000 seals.....is this a glitch or do I have 4000 mystery seals somewhere that I don't know about?

I counted the 2000 I used to promote. I've spent 2000 to promote, 2000 on the chocobo item, and I had at the time 1940 in my currency inventory, but I received the achievement for having earned 10,000 seals. I am not sure if I'm missing something.
