Yea, meanwhile I'm lvling and I'm also wondering if the server I'm on(Ultros) will be available for at least my wife or will I have to start from scratch on a new server?

latest letter from the director states that digital sales are still going to be restricted until at least when the time comes next week when they are planning to do or "try" to implement another major data center server upgrades!

So from what i gather it will be atleast another week or so!

Don't be surprised if they don't allow purchases again until server transfers are live, and maybe even slightly after that. If what Alien said is true (I haven't seen the letter), we could be getting server transfers next week. It would make sense for them to add 2 more worlds for each area (maybe 1 for EU, it seems like there's either not a huge demand or they're just mingling with NA servers, which I think is a good thing), open world transfers, give it a week, then let people start coming in again.

Ugh, I hope it's sooner than later. My partner and friends want to play it with me because of all the cool stuff I've shown them about the game, but they can't buy it anywhere now.
