Oh one thing, once the materia system comes how can an AH work. The whole point of it is for crafters to customise gear?

I still don't get what an AH has more releavant than a Market Ward. I mean... IT'S THE F*CKING SAME THING!
Don't drop things that are awesome and place something repeatitive and boring out of the blue!
Personally I like the Market Wards and I don't think that we need an AH in the game for a few reasons:
-It gives you all the info you need before you enter the wards.
-I don't mind the extra minute or two it takes me to warp to a ward to find something, better than standing in front of a AH like a zombie.
-In FFXI you could only have like 7 things up at a time on the AH, with the Market Ward you can have 10 up at a time multiplied by however many retainers you have and all the retainers can be up at the same time. At the moment that means I can sell 20 (30 if you count the fact I can sell 10 things on my character as well and it doesn't show up in my inventory space if I have it in bazzar.) things at once time versus only selling 7 things on a AH like FFXI had. Which means I save time not having to go back to the AH constantly to see if things sold and put up more things if they have sold.
Also it saves space on my character because I can keep all things on my retainer, go back and check now and then and just pop it into my bazaar if I have the space while I'm standing there versus
1) Either taking up inventory space on my character by keeping things I need sold on me
or
2) Going to check AH, seeing I have stuff sold and can put more up, running to Retainer, grabbing items off retainers, running back to AH and putting it up. Which is a lot more time than just looking up the item I need and warping to the ward and buying it.
Anyway with the changes they have made to the Wards, it's pretty much an AH anyway. A few more changes and it will be pretty much perfect.
I'm just a bun boy, doing bun boy things.
The Market Wards have already come long way. Sure they need/will get better, but they are the same idea as an AH just not centralized. I like the idea of Market Wards. SE keep the Market Wards, but if you must implement some sort of AH make it for one way area and for specific items....say a Fish Market in LL, or some city/land not yet implemented.
What will happen to MWs if more people play? Some rows are already packed at some point on my server. How will they manage the new players' retainers? make huge rows so we have to run around everywhere to get our items? MWs annoy me because people don't always have their retainer in that specific row and I'm running back to the search to look for where it is! I really don't like that there is no price history when I want to put something for sale, also don't like how you can see the prices when you search, people undercut like hell

honestly the lack of price history helps with stopping undercutting, because at least your only competing with people who are actually selling the item, When/if they add history, you will be competing with every one who undercut you in the past, and people will manipulate people into putting prices lower by buying from themselves/friends like they used to do. Also raising prices by doing similar stuff. not so much with the higher, because of the taxes
AH is such a pointless addition now considering Market Wards are an AH.
If anything like XI AH'ing a materiad item would probably strip it off it's materia much as it did crafter ID's in XI. Even if not I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to catagorize materia effects in a AH setting either...not that I'm saying we need one or anything. Just saying it wouldn't be impossible to have a sorting system for individual items on a AH either.
I haven't used the wards in 4 months because it's such a painful experience filled with guesswork pricing and lots of loading screens.
I never sell any of the stuff I've farmed through grinding because it would be too much trouble. Due to this XIV economy is COMPLETELY DEAD. Also because of the leve system because it's a lot faster way to make money by grinding on the same leve endlessly than selling or trading anything.
You don't use the wards which in turn means the economy on every server is dead? Cool story bro.I haven't used the wards in 4 months because it's such a painful experience filled with guesswork pricing and lots of loading screens.
