I'd sacrifice toto, darkhold and ifrit, MAYBE EVEN CHOCOBOS for a market system that works. Trying to fix this game without having an economy in place for players to trade between themselves is like trying to build a building on a bad foundation.A question to ask yourself, OP, is that if both systems work only one is more convenient (slightly) than the other, why are we wasting the developers time and resources to implement an entirely new system when they could be working on the things this game actually still needs - like, idk, a delivery service, a message service, a way to moderate your Linkshell without standing on top of someone that needs to be moderated?
Here's where you tell me that there's different teams like that magics up some people to work on a redundant system. I don't want any resources wasted on redundancy. It's just something that any "different" team could be working on something else rather than creating a system that already "works" as you say.
I wish people would get over this. Pretty soon the devs are going to actually do it and then I'll be waiting another 12 months for a handful of dungeons or something. But hey maybe they'll tweak the size of mobs and spells in the meantime to give the illusion of actually changing something.
I give you the right to your opinion and agree that what you want is ever-so-slightly more convenient, but we have what we have and I'm ok with it. Let's focus on things we don't have and actually want or need.
