Now as I know the trolls are wont to do, you'll spin my words into saying that everyone who leaves doesn't contribute. I'm not saying that; there are some who will leave that I'd rather stay, but honestly, so much of the riffraff will be gone that it's worth it.

I try to be critical and fair, but I actually find the most "toxic" posters to be FFXI purists.

It's kind of weird because first this patch we had a billion threads about power leveling, and then all other information was lost on the forums as a result, and now we're having a billion threads on the subscription fee, and all other information is being lost as a result.

The funny thing is, you run an awesome site dedicated to XIV, yet you're also simultaneously one of those toxic posters that the OP was talking about. Big contradiction.

I will be paying once subscriptions hit, but I must say, it's an incredibly bad business decision to start charging when they're going to.

The end of this year has been famous for the amount of great games coming out. Starting subscription fees right in the middle of that is going to drive players who might have stayed because the game was free toward other games, and they may be lost for good. It's just a bad idea.

I am sorry but calling people "toxic" is just completely uncallled for. The deves and SE higher ups have said that the game is unfinished and damaging respectively and to ask people to pay for it in that state, is really crazy. So people will either stay or go. Not becuase they are being "toxic" to the game, but because they want to pay for a completed article. They will probably return, if they do not get lost in upcoming games. I for one am a huge Star Wars fan, so the lore of Biowares first MMO is a big one for me, especially with the game still in transition over a year after release. Honestly I think you are the worst type of troll on the forum and just respect that people have the right to make their opinions.
