Market wards work perfectly fine for the time being, it's not something that really needs focus at this moment in time. You can search for items just as well as any AH and take a few moment to hobble your virtual legs over to it.

Market wards crash often and no price history is an annoyance, but i agree its not important enough to worry about it now instead of say the battle system & class additions thoes are needed now! i can work with the wards there not that bad

I'd rather take 2 minutes to go pick up an item instantly then wait an hour for an AH delivery system like WoW. Where I have to backtrack to a mailbox once it finally comes in to pick it up.

That's why I liked FFXI's auction system because it went directly to your items.

The items you bought on the AH in xi went to your delivery box in your moghouse where you picked them up (acting also as another 8 slots of inventory space if your storage space was running a bit thin) WoW, the same thing, except on a much larger scale with the mailbox system they've implemented.

Btw that wow AH no matter how completely irrelevant to THIS discussion is does sound like a badly designed mess of a system. Almost as bad as the MW but both are light-years behind XI's AH.

LOL you say WoW's "sounds" like a badly designed system, based on something you heard from someone else and then compare it to something you do know, all whilst making the statement "you have no idea".

WoW's AH system is much much better than FFXI's AH and Cair is grossly exaggerating about the mail box system, 99% of cases when you win an auction in WoW are sent directly to your mailbox which is a few steps away from the AH itself. (no waiting)

This is a good example of not believing everything you read on the internetz.

I always thought an auction house would be nice, too, but the way they've fixed up the market wards system, it's pretty much good to go. It shows prices, where items are located, how many there are. What more could you ask for? It seems to work.
