We need an AH

They have already said they are adding price history in the future, so the only thing preventing it from being a true auction house (besides name) will be having to pick up your items. And honestly, I don't see why we can't buy things directly from the item counter. It's not bad if you only have to go into one ward, but once you start having to go into multiple wards it can get kind of annoying.

I'm perfectly fine with keeping the Market Wards. They just need to do some streamlining and work the kinks out of it. Though, if they replace it with the Auction House, I'm not going to cry bloody murder lol. I just hope that they make, whichever one they decide to stick with, a bit more unique than they are in usual mmos. People have come up with some really good ideas that they could add to MW/AH.

I'm with the OP. Plus I'd like a mail system to deliver my item. To try and say WoW's AH is inferior is just nonsense. I understand SE was trying to be different with this system, but they just need to cut their losses and press on with implementing an AH.

At first I hated the Wards because it reminds me of malls, and I HATE MALLS, am I the only one? Now i don't even mind the wards. I don't know if I've given up or if an AH is not needed.

Their is no way we need an AH. We have one allready. The Retainer Wards do everything an AH does so whats the problem?? All SE need to do is rename the Wards the AH to shut you guys up.

I don't know how to tell you this, but your having a brain malfunction. It is not the same thing. It has a lot of the same features, but you still loose time warping in and walking to said npc and interacting with them. My original post has to do with speed and convenience, not whether or not the MW work or even if they do the same thing as an AH. And maybe some of you have just absolutely awesome specs on your computers, but for those of us that dont........ it does not even take close to 30 seconds. I just timed the time it takes me to buy an item starting from the search function to the point that I leave the ward. Notice I did not include the time it takes to get to the wards. I did this 3 times looking for completely different items each time.

My times were:
1st: 1 min 57 sec
2nd: 2 min 10 sec
3rd: 2 min 3 sec

My average of that time is:
2 min 3.333 sec

And I was not purposefully trying to be slow, I was going as fast as I could. Most of that time loss was in the loading, walking, and interaction times. So dont tell me its not a big deal. Its not just a big deal, its freaking ridiculous, and I should not have to put up with it. And if I could have just bought it from the NPC outside the ward it would have taken me only 3 seconds.

Honestly, I would like to see Ishgard get an AH and the other 3 cities keep the retainers, I am fine with that. A little compromise never hurts anyone.

Compromise was adding search function to the market wards you fool.
