PLEASE CANCEL MY REQUEST FOR A NEW NAME

I screwed up. I'll admit it and I'm only mad at myself and my lack of reading comprehension first thing in the morning.

I thought that the application for a new name was tied into the character recreation error. Turns out these are two separate things. I only wanted to adjust my characters appearance (i could not load my benchmark characters into the game during the initial character recreation phase) and NOT my name.

If there is any way, could a mod or a dev or some naming angel from square enix go ahead and CANCEL my request for a new name?

If you submitted a ticket, you can close the ticket yourself.

it submits a ticket to a different server and does not come up in your open ticket list. Unfortunately, I already tried this approach

Nevermind, it's the 1.0 thing.

They probably won't even allow you to change your character name.
I sumbitted a ticket asking a week ago. Nothing yet.

As of last night/this morning, there is a new form specifically for 1.0 players who got errors during the initial recreation phase.

This is the form I used. I missed the bottom part of the terms where it says "we are unable to cancel this request once submitted". I feel like I'm throwing a hail mary from my own 10 yard line after being sacked for making a bad read. Ok its probably not that epic but still.. a bummer.
