Eye For an Eye Generates Hate

I was doing an Ifrit Hardmode and just for the heck of it, I cast Eye For an Eye on the tank as he went to pull. As soon as the the tank was struck, Ifrit received the Debuff that lowered his damage 10%. Ifrit came for me and wiped the party.

For the life of me, I don't see why Eye for an Eye would generate Enmity. Has anyone else experienced this? Do you feel like this is Working as Intended?

I always use Eye for an Eye on tank never noticed it. Will check next time but tanks I have been with are either good or absolutely bad so can't tell easily.

not specifically eye for an eye, but i have had my buffs generate enough hate on a boss to pull off a tank at the very start. Granted this was also with terrible tanks that like to facepull bosses.

Each buff generates 70 damage worth of threat, or something.

confirmed... don't know how many pull went stright to my face during dungeon where tank (most war that take loads of dmg...) can't wait 3 sec before one pull and the other for me to recast stoneskin -_-'

the trick is to just wait a few sec before buffing.. just like u wuld do for starting dps...
