Endgame question

This is an endgame (sort of) question. Basically I want to know how gearing is done at 50. When you complete dungeons do you get "marks" or something to turn in for gear or is it 100% loot based? How many ways are there to get level 50 gear sets? If anyone can answer this I'd be thankful.

I understand that there are some good gear drops from Ifrit and Garuda hard modes, which aren't really that hard.

Thanks. I checked it out but it doesn't say where some of this is obtained. Like, in tiers of equipment it says "Blue Artifact Class gear." as the first tier. Where is this obtained? After the "Blue artifact class gear." it then goes into drops etc.

That is job quests at 45 and 50. This'll get you the first tier of "Artifact Gear", which is blue quality.

Awesome Thank you again. Are these quests solo? Group? Or a mixture of both? Sorry for all of the questions I think this will about do it.

No problem at all!

They are all soloable, just like all class/job quests. The level 50 one might take a few attempts depending on the job, but 45 sends you all over the world to pick stuff up (usually) and is easy.

Alright, thanks again for the quick response! My curiosity has been sated. I'm in no rush to hit end game as I enjoy the destination but I was curious how things work when I'm there. I'm actually rather surprised, in most mmo launches usually some time has to pass before they add in end game content and FFXIV seems to have plenty of it. Also, it's really cool that your first blue set is done through a solo quest line. Something I have wished other mmo's to do in the past. Thanks again for the responses

Please don't feel rushed. It is a Final Fantasy game after all and should be enjoyed for the story and atmosphere.

Make sure to check our your Grand Company for possible weapon upgrades.

Gearing up in the end can be tedious and frustrating, so enjoy the freedom of solo play. ^^
