The hilarious thing is, is that the same bullies who are saying "grow up, get over it, man up, we need balance" and all that BS, suffer from the lack of courage to man up themselves, and be that confrontational or insulting in person with someone. They hide behind the anonymity of the net and expect you to deal with it, because they have no other way to release their hate other than safely in the comfort of mom and pops house.

There are legal repercussions. With enough reporting, it will be addressed.I don't know if it has been mentioned yet, but SE should have a sub-forum on here specifically to report harassment. Take screen shots, post their names. They have no problem doing the harassment in a battle with 3+ others, what difference is a few more on here?

Instead i thought, well, on this statement alone, i can only presume that this poor chap has no idea what the real issue is, as he/she have never really experienced it, so why would they understand?

I don't really buy the whole argument that some people just like to be dicks on the internet. If you're trash on the internet then you're trash in real life. I still can't figure out why MMO's attract such dicks. This is a fantasy game, not the NFL (not that all football fans are dicks).

Side Note on Duty Finder:
I would love to see a tick box you could check that flags you as a newbie to the instance. And then also have a filter that people could use to either not allow newbie, allow only newbies, or a mix of both.

I would also like this. It would be nice to go with others who are all new to the dungeon and want to learn. In the same vein, those that want to only play with experienced players can do so. When a player is new to a dungeon, there is an exp bonus so it would encourage those that care to run with newbies.

People these days really are lacking in self-esteem. If you let a few harsh words hurt you, maybe you should stop living under a rock.

Fact is you have people that care NOTHING for others that play this game and that goes BOTH ways.

You have people that verbally troll, you have people that totally lack the ability to preform simple mechanics regardless of number of tries and you have those that que for level 50 instances wearing level 35 gear.

So you picking the verbal abusers out of the crowd does little to nothing. If you watch someone wipe to the same mechanics 10x, you should be telling him he is failing.

If you are so weak spirited that you just ignore it and continue to wipe, maybe it is you who is the odd duck.

Your type of mindset is what makes me sick. In your logic you think its fine for people just to take abuse. It's not about self esteem or not being a baby. All people like you want is to feel better about themselves by pointing other peoples weaknesses and making yourself look 'Cool' in the process. Instead your making yourselves look like jerks and you are tainting the community in the process. I will have zero tolerance for it, and if I come across any of you acting cruel to anyone I WILL report you. My advise for people who harass others is to grow up and act mature.

A player won't know what to do if you constantly treat them like trash. Be a role model and instead of yelling at them and telling them they should go kill themselves, instead have the patience and teach them what they should do. And if time runs out in the dungeon oh well to bad, you can't win everything in life. But in the process they will have new tips to practice on.

And if there is anyone here living under a rock it's you. Your thought process is if you don't do your job right i have a right to yell at you and you should take it and shut up about it. That they have no right to defend themselves and retaliate. You are basically telling everyone here that they should just settle in life, take all the abuse, and deal with it.

People reporting harassment is not a "self-esteem" issue, it's a way of fighting back against toxic behavior, and for people to defend themselves and others from those very same people. So to anyone who plans on harassing players, i'll make this statement loud and clear. We as a community are not going to tolerate it, and I encourage anyone to report any type of abuse they are receiving. Fight back and show them they don't own you. Defend yourself and everyone around you as a community. Report them!

Sorry to say, but there are a lot of bads out there.

If I need to tell you how to do your job at lvl 35+, you should be working harder to understand your class.

I can start a brand new class and understand 80% of the mechanics by lv 10, I expect the same from others. If you can't attempt to play your class well, don't party up. You only hurt the party.

If you don't know something, ask. I have never snapped on anyone until they say "I know what to do" and clearly don't.

I however have never snapped on someone like the person in the photo.

It's people like yourself that play online games and want everything to be rainbows and unicorns, you dumb the game down even more with your tears and make companies implement stupid care-bear restrictions... This is why we aren't allowed to send /tells to people during instanced content, because people are "too mean to each other" which is an insanely stupid limitation to have in an MMORPG. I can't whisper my friend because Square-Enix has put limitations on communication.... dumb.

People are mean in real life too not just video games, how do you deal with a mean person on the bus? do you call the police and demand an arrest? no, no you don't. Ignore them, call them idiots and move on... that's life.
