    Thoughts on leveling

    Hi,

I want to play a Monk and am in the process of leveling my Pugilist. What I am wondering is, from an "enjoyment of the game" perspective, which do you think is a better idea?

    1) leveling the Pugilist straight through to level 50, then Lancer to 15 then monk to 50? This way I could enjoy end game content sooner. (leaning towards this one)

    2) Getting Pugilist to 30, Lancer to 15 and just getting on the grind for my Monk. This way I am level 50 on the Monk sooner.

    3) Pugilist to 30. Lancer to 30. Level the Monk and dabble with the Dragoon. Long way to end game, but I'll be able to try more classes and class combinations.

I'd personally say option 2 or 3 . Jobs are the best for endgame content. The classes are more versatile for solo play

Yeah, unlock your job first. Otherwise you are only using your class to half of it's strength. Sure you can level PUG to 50 without getting Monk, but you miss out on some important abilities.

Additionally, you will have a harder time getting along with Dungeon groups. DPS is just as important a tank. If you don't have it, you will notice it. Just ran Manor with three members, after our Arcanist DCed. Made the dungeon slow down real fast until we had a PUG join our group.

Getting secondary classes to lvl 15 is pretty fast due to the additional 50% bonus and apart of a bit of extra time needed to unlock the job(s) there are no negatives to have them unlocked as early as possible as you're free to switch jobs on and off simply by (un-)equipping the soul stones so I'd say go for unlocking the jobs first.

Yes it will. Jobs are "sharing" the levelings / atributes with their main class. It will indeed not level up the secondaty class.
