Problem with interrupting casting with movement

    Hello

I'm looking for some help on this problem.

Often when I interrupt a cast with movement it DC's me with error 90000. This only happens in the situation I described, where I move during a cast. It doesnt happen for any other reason and is quite a pain.

It is something I can recreate and I have had this problem since early access.

I would love any guidance I can receive on this matter, and I hope that the forums are not too flooded still that this goes missing i the sea of posts >:

nothing has worked at all so far, i have even fully reinstalled windows and the game.

I'm also getting nowhere with any support tickets i make via form/chat.

I did receive a feedback survey though when one of the tickets came back as being submitted to the wrong place, instead of sending it to the right "department" they cancelled my ticket.

it is really frustrating the lack of help SE offers with genuine bugs, because they had to focus their time on placating players with unnecessary complaints of errors occurring simply because they underestimated the popularity of this game.

That is a really strange problem!

Does it disconnect you if you jump when spellcasting?

Try pinging the servers with this guide:
    http://www.ffxivguild.com/how-to-tes...agpinglatency/

Do you get any lost packets? What is your ping?

What CPU and GPU do you have?

Off hand ( don't get error 90000, i just get outright crashes), when I get crashes it's because:
    - I tried to take a screenshot with the third party utility (MSI Afterburner or irfanview), sometimes it crashes with a "-1", which seems to be an error generated by FFXIV
    - I tried to capture video
    - I near a zone edge or Aethernet crystal and it lags before it crashes, which thus far seems to not be a CPU/GPU problem

The first two reasons I'd love to blame on the third party software except that it will still do it even if they're not loaded. So I'm going go suggest video-driver related issue.

Ok, if you search the forums you'll notice a trend with nVidia cards crashing one way, and AMD video cards crashing a different way. And if it's not a crash it's error 90000 or a Virtualfunc (neither which I've ever experienced)

My opinion at the moment is that it's still drivers/driver-related. I don't have an nVidia card for reference, but are you running any settings that override the application value? I note that's a 400$ price tier model.

Another thing to look at (90000 means, "disconnected") is the network card. I know from experience with a different MMO, that tampering with MTU settings does this kind of thing. You'll often see terrible advice about lowering MTU (which should never be done unless you're on dial-up or your ISP uses PPPoE ), Disabling Nagle (which may do nothing for this game) and changing ECN/Congestion features.

But overall 90000 means the ISP or path from it is being interrupted, which could mean ISP throttling/blocking, your router or firewall software blocking, or some other nefarious software on the machine.
