UI/hotbar/settings keep changing/reverting

This is a very strange issue I have been having since early release. I have my hotbars set up a certain way, the UI set up a certain way, various settings set up and it's fine for days but then randomly when I log in the UI seems to revert to some old UI setup that doesn't have all my current skills on the hotbars or only has 2 hotbars present instead of 3. The profanity filter is turned back on when I had it turned off. My gear sets are gone. Keybindings I had set are now not set. etc..

I will fix it and it will be fine for days and then one day it's all messed up again. Is there some way to save your UI configuration that I am not aware of and inadvertently reverting back to somehow? As I get farther into the game and get more abilities and gear sets this is getting increasingly more annoying to deal with.

Even my forum account is acting strange. I just tried posting this and it said I had hit my limit (first post) or I didn't have a character high enough (character is 28). I went into my profile which shows my main character selected. I hit save anyway and then I'm allowed to post. This has happened twice now as well.

Anyone have any ideas?

These things are saved under "Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn".
Unless the game is not saving them correctly, something on your pc is messing with them.

Thanks for the reply but not sure what I'm looking at in there. In the "my games" folder I do see that FFXIV folder but there is also a beta version folder. Should that be removed? Inside the FFXIV folder I see a 5 folders with the name FFXIV_CHR00400<long#>. I assume those are character folders? Then I see 4 FFXIV_chara_01/02/03/04.dat files. Honestly, I have no idea if any of this is correct or not. I also have the benchmark folder in there.
