Should I assume that my BLM lacks the DPS to do something like AK, well that explains the WHM leaving, he literally saw me on BLM and thought, ya we willl wipe with a BLM. Guess ill toss the Stardust Rod and level a real class lol.Exactly this ^
I have had a mixed bag with DF. Best to remain patient and explain about importance of gear and strat before jumping in as the community is finding its feet. Games only been out a week. It takes a few tries to get the muscle memory for boss fights.
Have to admit though I did have a little quiet QQ when Amp Keep DF loaded up and placed me with 2 BLM. We couldn't DPS the first boss fast enough and one left so fortunately didn't even have to experience the Demon Wall.
Also the servers have just stabilised and people are actually getting to play, probably a bit too much, so a lot of tired cranky people on ^^
That's one silly WHM. I love BLM. My perfect party would be any tank, BLM and BRD. Buff + epic cc and nuke for dungeons.
Not at all, I hate job stacking and job prejudice (After soloing BLM to 75 in FF11). A lot of the new pick up BLMs I have had experience major problems on Demon Wall because of all the movement. I hit the character limit on previous post, but the point was they failed the gear check. I'm still in mixed AF so probably shouldn't be there either, but it seems slightly more forgiving for a tank. IMO the dungeon wasn't tested properly for BLM. You should comment on how you handle Demon Wall for others to benefit! In fact on another run I went with a BLM friend using Garuda/DL and it was our pickup DRG that didn't have the DPS. Sorry for not being clear. I would never leave without at least trying or explaining (white gear).
I've actually gone back to spamming Castrum for HDL to make Amp Keep easier on WHM.

The DF has been a very positive experience for me, on the whole. I've only had one very poor experience and I was happy enough to ignore them until I was able to leave the instance.
I see a lot of people in this very thread are the exact problem with the DF. Elitist, self-righteous pricks.
If you're too good for the people you'll pick up in the DF, hey great for you. Stay the hell out and leave the rest of the population to having fun.
We would all prefer for you to stick to your own kind and commiserate off in your own corner.

It's been fine for me the...What, maybe 7 times I've used it for Sastasha/Copperbell/Tam-tara, with the only issue a tank complaining about me not targeting her target when I couldn't tell at glance which it was anyways (no markers) but since it wasn't causing any issues we just kept going.
Note, I realized after that comment what was meant by it, and did what I could, but it's hard to aim for a specific target when it's not marked.
I have used it several times, never had a player being disrespectful.
Sometimes we couldnt finish the dungeon because someone left (for whatever reason) bu i have never encountered any signs of drama of any kind.
Maybe i have been lucky or you havent been lucky OP.
I got trolled last night. WHM went as DD, pulled hate on a mob nobody was attacking, dies then states "Pull one at a time because tank can't hold hate".
So just after I posted good thoughts on the DF, this happened:
The person in question would wait for me to mark "1", "2", "3", and then always, every single time, will pick out "2" to attack. Every single pack of trash. Asked him to attack "1" first, no response. After another pack, asked him again, no response again. Then the third time he does this, I asked what he has against me.
First two times I gave him the benefit of the doubt and always took the target back. Third time I let him have the target to himself, and he asks the healer if the healer has sleep. As if hinting that I can't tank properly.
"LOL i just want to hit the other one lol"
Sadly for him, the three of us Tank+Heal+DPS are from the same FC, so we just left and restarted with another DPS and had a smooth run through. Our FC rock. We have the best FC buddies who support me.
Jerks do exist. I've just had the fortune of not running into every single one of them.![]()

I love Duty Finder, You get good parties and bad parties.. to be expected.
Might be a few assholes about.
People really need to start opening up a little inside these Duties though, and helping out new players or people who aren't good at said duties.. or even their job. There's no need to be aggressive towards players. Sometimes it does get frustrating when they aren't open to advice, and that's when you leave if no ones willing to learn and it's causing you to fail.
So this is the next thing the complainers have found to complain about? Now that they cant do so with server issues xD
I have done at least 20 dungeon runs with DF, and some was better than others. But even in the ones where there were a few wipes, nobody was pointing fingers and blaming eachothers, but we discussed what to try next and we cleared it ^^
A little patience and friendly attitude towards your fellow gamers goes a long wayIf you are a whiny elitist A hole, I will avoid you and blacklist you. xD
