This is starting to drive me crazy but all the time I see in the chat people asking where to buy chicken eggs

Anyway a simple google search takes you to This Page which lists merchants you can buy chicken eggs from including Engerrand and Jossy

anyway hope this helps whoever is stuck

They're asking because a story quest requires you to give a chicken egg to a certain Qiqirn Mechant in order to get information out of him. I was too lazy to find one though, so I just checked the market. They were on there for like 100 gil.

100 gil? I hate to say it, but you were robbed blind on that - the Culinarian's Guild in Limsa Lominsa's Upper Decks (the Bismark) sells chicken eggs for a measly 5 gil! The vendor specifically is the 'Guild Supplier' at the front counter next to the Guild Receptionist.

Value is subjective. I paid 50 because the market board was right there and it well worth it not to tab out and google the location.

Exactly - you can easilly spent several hundreds just on teleports to find the "cheap" needed quest items like high potion, orange juice, chicken eggs or Lentil and chestnut etc. Early in the beta when I've asked about orange juice somebody just gave it to me and since early access I gave about about 10 of juices and eggs so far as well.

the time you spend to buy the "cheap" chicken egg could be spent to fates or levequest which will worth more money
just buy them at the market

Wha... The quest is in Limsa Lominsa. You can buy the egg from the culinary guild... in Limsa Lominsa. Are you serious are just trying to justify a bad decision?

This is incorrect the culinary merchant only sells boiled eggs which will not advance your story, the tradecraft merchant is the one who sells the chicken egg.
