    the sub requirement is Archer 15.. I just got black mage today after completing my lvl 30 thaum quest the BLM quest opened up. Currently I am Thaum/BLM 30, Archer 15, Arcanist 12.. It may make no sense but it is the requirement... hehe

    It is my only lvl 1 battle class... ah this will be fun to lvl to 15, thank goodness there are three city states...

    Its funny because black mage can still use Physick from arcanist. Got me through many a tough spot. Can't use Cure though even though its the exact same spell.
