I am sorry but i am in favor of more open world activities like FATE's and less in favor of instanced grind. Been there done that since days of WOW. But open world dynamic events is something new and exciting and so much more can be done with this.Dungeons on the other hand taught people skills... which people won't be learning now, thanks to FATE parties. Also, you had a chance for nice gear in dungeons. But finding people for dungeons unless you're a healer (or sometimes tank) is challenging.
I'm not saying SE should nerf FATEs (though it wouldn't bother me if they did). Instead, maybe the exp could be pumped up a bit? Or at least bring them more in line with one another.
No one will be forcing you to do them, people just want choice. Not all of us have to patience to deal with 100 man mobs running to every fate and finishing them at lightning speed. It's fast but it isn't exactly fun for a lot of people. Open world activities are fine and all but the FATE system is pretty poorly implemented atm due to a lack of proper scaling depending on how many people are in it. So choices. Choices in how you can level really wouldn't hurt anyone.
No! You can only do 1 thing for xp ever!!! But seriously, there will always be people who think that if you buff the xp gains something give that FATEs will suddenly stop giving any xp whatsoever. I thought FATEs weren't that bad... then I went to Coerthas and I realized its basically everyone between 36 and 50 all trying to do the same FATE at the same time yet its still better xp than everything else.No one will be forcing you to do them, people just want choice. And you don't have a choice right now? OP is asking to nerf XP on FATE and increase the dungeon grind. Ignoring the fact that FATE is an open world activity and is preferred by people because it has no downtime when it comes to forming a party together. Anyone can join in and contribute. No one will be forcing you to do them, people just want choice. Not everyone has a ready group for dungeon grind. Where as FATES are instant thus preferred by majority. Its ironic that you are telling me about choices when it is OP asking for nerfing the XP. Why not keep XP same on both activities and let players decide?

I'm pretty sure he's only asking for a buff to dungeons, which sounds reasonable to me. If dungeons become more in-line with FATEs in terms of rewards, it wouldn't affect players who simply want to go do FATEs at all.

He edited that part later on so i missed that however his original post came off as he wants FATES to be nerfed in order to entice people into grinding dungeons.

FATE:
- no need to wait
- more XP
- your party can't do wrong
dungeon:
- waiting time depending on your job
- less XP
- if in a random party and your pt members don't know what to do it can be frustrating
i'd like to level in dungeon too, but atm FATE parties are better for my nerves.

I'm not gonna lie, I don't really mind grinding on fates but it gets boring after a while. I'd like to have more of an incentive to grind on dungeons, but the revenue is just not there, especially for lower levels.
I don't mind dungeons giving more xp, as a dps I despise the 2 hour queue times unless you have a tank. But leave the FATEs alone
