Need help with Summoner's final Quest

Right now I'm a little fustrated. Not because I died to the duty hard, and to get back there is going to cost a bit, at the moment the game won't let me log in. Error 10102 or something like that. So while I'm stuck and hoping for this to work (though I hope the event didnt' glitch me in) I was hoping for some advice on how to beat it.

My Titan Egi was being hammered by the nega Ifrit hard, and my meager heals was doing little to nothing to keep him up. And even if I did damage the other summoner would heal him up. And if that thing were to be on me even for a second, I couldn't heal myself fast enough to avoid death. even if my NPC partner helped. So any strategies on how to beat this? I'd rather reduce the amount I pay in travel just so I can beat this guy.

I had the same problem. You don't focus on ifrit. You focus on the summoner. once he gets low enough he eats the primal and then you got to focus on him. Beware the adds. He summons 2 fire spirits that toss Fire 3 like candy.

I just got to know. Why is Scholar so easy and summoner so hard?

Okay I just finished it. It's rather easy this way.

First off you use Garuda. Set her on the main guy. You will be kiting ifrite and sniping the guy. Ifrite will mostly follow you. When he gets absorbed start moving. The meteor is a 1 shot kill hit with a Wide aoe span. When he summons a spirit focus garuda and your fire on it asap. It will go down fast that way. I thought he summoned two because I didn't see the first. He's open for DoT spam when casting meteor so start using them if you're clear of the blast radius.
