    Increasing Guildhests EXP gain. Sound idea?

    There's no doubt that doing a Guildhest the first time gives you insane about of EXP but...what about every other time? They give you far less than what Guildleves of the same level offer up. Then again I'm only level 27 (as of this post) so I'm not entirely sure what it's like the rest of the way, but would increasing the base EXP you gain from a Guildhest be a good idea (trading off some of the EXP you gain from doing it the first time) or am I missing something?

    After all, with a Guildhest you're doing it with a party, as opposed to a Guildleve which you (normally) do by yourself. It would make sense for Guildheists to offer up more EXP than the typical Guildleve.

    Thoughts? Yay? Nay? I'm a moron?

    I think it's a good idea. It requires more work than a leve does so it should reward more. Plus, if they're put there to teach about game mechanics, it would be a good idea to make it worth people's time. Otherwise, repeated attempts at a dungeon boss would be better because there's a better reward for whenever you figure it out (loot). Fates give similar exp but go much faster and take less effort.
    I loved the hest with the bomb queen and ran that many times for fun but the exp just wasn't cutting it. I can be more productive with just about anything else.

    Absolutely. Either the exp or gil reward needs to be increased. After the initial bonus, repeating them is not efficient for any reason. They take too long for the amount of exp they reward if its not new and the gil reward is pitiful too. And the higher level ones are somewhat complicated making them really unappealing to repeat.

    I'd agree, not just for guildhests, but nearly all instanced content. With most of it being added for leveling it just doesn't cut it when you can spam fates. Dungeons provide the added benifit of loot, much of which is untradable/sellable but if you want to use it for more than one job it's great to get. Guildhests offer nothing in return for the added challenge, less exp, no loot, no bonus gil to speak of, and you will likely spend more time waiting to get them, and spend longer in them than doing fates.
    The end result is that they simply won't get done much at all, really nothing but fates will for exp purposes. I mean who can compare "You gain 30315 (+50%) arcanist experience points." for a single level 38 fate to what you get from anything else of equal level. A fate that takes about 10 minutes.

    I do recall someone on the forums suggesting that Guildhests receive a daily or weekly completion bonus after the initial bonus. It would be less than what you get the first time, of course, but would be well worth considering. It wouldn't be too problematic for experienced and organized players since they can breeze through them. Other players who aren't so inclined to the mechanics of MMO group play would have a reason to keep doing these while learning or practicing their group play. And because the reward wouldn't be repeatable multiple times in a day, it wouldn't feel like a grind (like FATES).

    I find these encounter to be rather fun, and would love to see lots more of them. However, I doubt they will be made more profitable simply because they do not consume a leve allowance. I was testing the lvl 25 one with the goblins just a bit ago on my off class. It's fast, fun, profitable already AND can be repeated as many times as you want.

    Each run with my lvl 28 was netting me about 150 gil AFTER repairs, and only took roughly 5 minutes to finish. Sadly, they apparently stop at lvl 40 after an 8 man version. Here's hoping they add more! It would be very nice to have a lvl 50 4-man boss fight that was profitable, even if it was only a few hundred gil per run.

    But guys, there is an achievement for doing 10,000 Guildhests! That makes it worth it right there! /end sarcasm

    I agree, there needs to be a daily bonus of XP and Gil for these. Maybe even GC seals.

    EXP and gil reward needs to be increased I see no reason why you shouldent be able to use leves and behests as a gil and exp source when your not interested in fate farming. right now there so low it's a waste of time except for the bit of gear you get now and then.

    im using guildhests to level CNJ as main class is MRD. After first time it is very slow and levequest are combat not healing so guildhests are better. So i would like to see EXP increased a bit. lvl 10 gives me 600-850 perhaps up that to 900-1100 would be good.
