Fate Grinding is Lame

Fates and Fate grinding have to be the lamest thing I've ever seen in an MMORPG going back to EQ.

It's just a mindless zerg that requires zero effort.

If you gave players xp ever 3-5 mins just for logging in, it would only be one step away from the lameness that is fate grinding, since fate grinding is xp on a timer where you run over to the latest fate, tag it enough for credit, and repeat every few minutes.

Fate grinding makes solo ez-mode look challenging and compelling.

it is kind of unfun....I hope quests are an option at high level for those of us who prefer it.

You don't have to do FATES if you don't want to. Anything in excess becomes a bore. Just mix things up and stop focusing on optimal progression time you're just going to burn yourself out.

There are so many things to do in game. Just enjoy those suit you most. If you don't like FATE, don't do it. You don't like doesn't mean everybody don't like it too.

BTW, rethink it again when you start your 3,4,5 classes and all quests had already been done by your 1,2 classes.

I can't really do it that long. I start feeling like it's a job, more than a game after about an hour or two. More power to those than can stand doing it all the time.

My issue with fates currently is they are WAY overpopulated since they give the most exp/time spent doing them. I started doing them in the highlands and omg... Fates are finished within seconds, and when they do last for a few minutes, none of the mobs spawn in until they fall dead. Not sure where this issue comes in from. I'm on the ps3 so is it a ps3 issue or server? Sometimes nothing loads in @ all. Players will spawn in and disappear, even party members just vanish and i can't target them for heals. I'd like this looked into on SE's end if possible. My connection states "Excellent" when i sign in my character so idk.

i mix dungeons, fate, leves and hunting log. I like the game but if you only want to level up like a mindless guy then you can only do FATE's.

I FATE grinded 3 levels after running out of other content to do, I am not someone who can repeat same dungeons over and over again. I wouldn't do that if there were sidequests left, though.

Reasons for a mindless level grind? Story quests and level locks in them.

Fates were fun during beta, it was a thing you ran into sometimes and it was fun because not many people. Now, it's a rush to beat the incoming zerg to get credit, or just give up and join in the zerg because it feels like there is no other choice. I just hope the zerg dies down soon because this is ridiculous.
