Music Just Stopped Working

I've been playing the game pretty much all day. I haven't had any problems with the sound at all (music or ambiance). All of a sudden (like 10 minutes ago) the music just stopped playing. There is NO volume at all!! This has happened twice while playing (once today and once a few days ago).

I'm afraid to log out and get the dreaded 1017 error.

If you are playing on ps3 then you need to logout and reboot your ps3 or keep playing as you are now and eventually get disconnected anyways or have the game client crash back to the xmb which means you will still end up with having to log back in. Either way you will end up relogging... your choice.

This has happened to me a few times but it came back during gameplay.

this is happening to me every couple hours. The sound just stops. Im on PC

My music stops working whenever I use my Logtiech G930 7.1 Surround Wireless Headset as my sound output. The only music I'm able to hear is the battle theme music. I can hear all other noises except for music. When my sound output is my 5.1 speakers, I'm able to hear all sounds properly. I play on PC by the way. It would also be nice to have an option where I can switch sound outputs in the middle of the game instead of having to log out and risk getting put in a queue. Many mmos have this already such as World of Warcraft and should be too much of an issue . Please Square Enix resolve this problem. Thanks.

This has happened to me 3 different times on PS3 and the only fix was to reboot. However, other than silence (with the exception of ambient sounds) it did not affect gameplay.

But it is hard to run a dungeon in silence.

This also happened to me on ps3. I had to restart game.

It's hard to play with no sound. And yes, my gameplay was not affected at all, lol.
