    Need help with MNK class

    does anybody have a good rotation for the MNK?

    I hit lvl 50 and started doing instances, My damage is way subpar compared to the DRGNs and BLKMages, aswell as the BRDS, they all have the same gear (artifact) and a lv44 company weapon

    my rotation for a recent boss, hard ifrit is Perfect balance/internal release - twin snakes - demolish - snap punch snap punch then i'd do a normal rotation like

    dragon kick - twin snakes - snap punch - fists of death
    bootshine - true strike - demolish - bootshine - true strike - snap punch - back to ^

    im also taking advantage of the positional abilities and doing my combos swiftly

    What cross class skills do you bring in? Don't forget your internal release, the DRG ability Blood for Blood, the MRD Berserk skill, etc. Those will really increase your damage output.

    Impulse Drive doesn't get you to Coeurl stance.

    Not saying ID isn't a good skill, it is, it's just not something you swap in for another one of your moves. It is something you can do in addition to your other skills when you get an open GCD.

    Boot shine, Impulse Drive, Twin Snakes, Snap Punch. ID deals more damage than True Strike and Twin Strike deals similar damage to True Strike but gives you a massive 10% Bonus buff, True Strike is pretty much useless.

    Twin Snakes only does 2/3 the damage of True Strike, costs 20% more TP, and doesn't have the 5% crit (which is pretty weak.)

    So yeah, True Strike is still very useful and something that'll never properly drop from your rotation. Yes, Twin Snakes (and the buff) is fantastic, but you will be using both.

    Even when used from the flank, twin snakes is about 6.6% less damage (and no crit bonus) and costs more TP.

    Really depends on your rotation. If you let Twin snakes drop any time the 10% damage bonus on your autoattacks and possibly 1-2 GCD is worth way more than the 10 Pot, the 5% crit is worth another 3.75 potency on top.

    What Akumara is talking about is instead of a 3 GCD/6 second cycle (only with 2.0 GCD or less), where you can use True Strike without dropping Twin Snakes buff you use a 4-6 GCD/12 second cycle (depending on skill speed) use Impulse Drive to fill out the extra GCDs you will have more overall damage. You lose out 13.75 potency per 12 seconds but you gain 2-3 Impulse drive (180 potency) which is a 50-90 potency gain total on either True Strike/Twin snakes/Dragon Kick for those same 6GCDS.

    That too. The 12 second cycle lets you get your dots off (FoD/Fracture) without having to reset your cycle (skip truestrike for one rotation) or dropping the twin snakes buff temporarily.
