You do realize this was added with 2.1 right?

seriously SE, fuck the gold sellers for now and fix more important issues like the fact that 2.1 constantly crashes ps3's and you haven't even considered fixing it yet.
This is good and all but nothing seems to happen when you do, wondering if SE even cares sometimes. I reported twice now in the past week the same character in the same spot, obvious bot farming but yet nothing has happened yet.
If on Ultros server look in North Shroud outside Alder Springs where the Banemite's are. Junt Kut is the characters name, spins around in circles in one spot, until a monster comes close enough for him to shoot on his archer. After the monster dies he spins around in a circle again, rinse repeat. Been at this all week. Sure not yelling RMT but obviously going against ToS... unless SE thinks botting is allowed without telling anyone.... just saying would be nice if they actually did things in a more timely manner. If they don't have enough staff then they should get some volunteer GM's (monitored so they don't abuse their powers) to jail these accounts until a normal GM can pursue the matter further.
TLDR - SE need to speed things up and ban quicker![]()
I fully agree with you, I play both Tera and The Secret world, they are the only mmos I have ever played that have no rmt spam or botting. I think Square/Enix needs to find out how they do prevent gold spamming though I know that Enmasse does not allow anyone in any chat, or messages, to use email or web addresses. There are ways around that, so it may be some other function on the back end. Tera is a very popular game so you know that it would be an mmo that gold sellers would very much like to advertise there. TSW has a strong following but probably not popular enough to be worth any gold seller presence. You should take out the site xD now you're kinda advertising for them.
I wish Square would do whatever it is Enmasse does (tera)
There are no goldsellers in their game, and I haven't seen any bots either. It was so refreshing after playing Aion (which is also filled with bots and goldspammers).
Now... entering a full bot and goldspamming game again this discourages me.
So yeah... Square, I have no idea how Enmasse prevents the goldspammers and bots from Tera but please look into it and inplant this system or whatever in FF.
Aion has had good and bad periods with the gold spam, but so far Final Fantasy XIV has been the worst of any mmo so far. I constantly blacklist them, I gave up on reporting, there are times it gets so bad I wouldn't be able to play the game if I spent all my time reporting.
You can also add that to a macro. Makes it very quick and simple to blacklist of them. Just typing that in is hard at times if your busy in a dungeon or in fates. If you wait too long to blist them, you end up with multiple spams from the same gold seller. The macro makes it so I can blist a gold seller anywhere anytime.
Okay I have ran out of blacklist spots. 200\200 and I can't blacklist theses ppl anymore. SE at least make more room to blacklist people.
Also my ignore list is filling up fast with a 200 limit. I ignore all spammers immediately I believe I am up to 100 ignores. Please fix this madness asap or i will have to tell my friends this game is the same as WoW in that regards. It is impossible to hold a conversation when 3 pages of gold selling tells shows up.
I´ve had ppl blacklisted for weeks as bots and goldsellers. At first I blacklisted and reported as a good player. But seeing as se don´t care about it I´ve now stopped.
And yes. It is a real threat to normal, honest paying customers.. I´m just playing this game atm, cause I enjoy it and have nothing else I want to play. But as soon as my fav game is up, I´ll leave and probably never come back. A LOT cause of RMTs not being dealt with. It hurts the economy, and the general gameplay for us honest weirdo´s playing the game. As a crafter it really messes up the way of making gil. The get the prices down with their stupid botting. And I´ve even seen ppl from FC´s botting and reported. They are still ingame. If they wont care about me, guess what? I´m not paying for their game.
It doesn't seem like SE is making an honest effort here to solve the problem, they just cover it up with their "oh we banned xxx accounts this month for RMT/botting" instead of executing action against these RMT sites, as well as in-game preventative measures to prevent spamming/botting.
I have already cleared my blacklist once, about 2 or 3 weeks ago, and it's already coming up on 50 names. Prior to that purge, the only outside player contact I would have (aside from party members or FC members) is the brief windows when I would un-busy to do a meld or take a party invite. No tells, no /shout, no /yell, no /say, absolutely NO outside contact.
It settled down for a little while, but it seems like the RMT/botting problem... make that INFESTATION... is coming back again, even though now we see that it's primarily the same 3 maybe 4 sources (eusgame, pvpbank, game4top, and the chinese-named or silly-named mining bots).
Out of my 69 blacklisted RMT's only 8 have been deleted so far so I think the response time is very slow. So that is a rate of just over one a month for an average of 13 reports a month, less than 10% ban rate. So really this is not a high priority issue for them. I would be interested in knowing if the rate is any better on other servers.
