Well I am now 200/200 on my blocklist. All of them reported. I can no longer block spammers yet the GMs are still telling me to.

Now they ignore my reports. Have not had a response in 8 hours.

I just reported GMs for harassment. Let's see how this turns out.

It may be a catch-22 for SE. If they don't delete the characters, people think SE did nothing because the name is still in the list (instead of "(deleted)"). If SE does delete the characters, RMT can create a new spam character with the same name and people think that SE did nothing because they're still shouting.

Even when the shout spam was worst, I deleted names on my blist to make room and I didn't immediately get hit with hundreds of shouters and /tell spam. It was just like every other day. The blist works best when you can add a name immediately, so I would recommend deleting some of those older names to make room.

More than level restriction on shouts, I'd favor the idea to block shouts at all, when the user is still on free trial.
As long as trial is intended on "feeling" the game in order to purchase the subscription, shout interaction is not a game breaker at that stage of things.

if they delete them we know they are doing something and they are just using luisbdgfshd as names now so it wont matter cause there are infinite number of random keys to hit and i was on a server that was usually locked so it wasnt bad but i always knew when they opened character creation because i got 50 different names spamming me every time

These free companies are a massive RMT operations.
If SE had the decency to even check those accounts out, they would see it.
I've been reporting those and many bots on my server for months and I still see them running around today.

I would love to join the STF team. Paid to do nothing all day.

I love how the gathering and crafting jobs were redone and they are enjoyable to lvl now (I took fishing to 50 in 1.0 so didn't have to relvl it but still enjoy how it was redone a lot) However tho when lvling bot/min the joy is taken away when I see nodes being hacked by underground bots.. and these same bots have reports on them from well over 50 people and nothing is done cuz they are still there the next 2 weeks. Same area doing the same thing. Now in the shroud I've noticed they have upped their game where they don't swing every time to gather. It's 1 swing and it nets them a full harvest of w/e they are hitting. Most likely it's crystals because that is the only valuable thing in the market atm.
What I would LOVE to see SE do and I'm sure this might have been mentioned before is please for the love of god have a shift of GM's that patrol certain area's where reports are made. So they can observe and see for themselves the case and instantly ban those ppl right then and there. Not wait for a report then when a month goes by look into data. When a report is made by at least 5-10 people have it auto-flag or send a message to whoever in the STFU to sign in and go to that location and observe the nodes. Or even better is have a GM stationed in every city that you can report too for things like this and they can teleport to the area and do it. I'm not saying hire someone and make them sit 24/7 but if you have like 10 people rotating shifts on 1 GM character then it's a good way to hammer down on the activity. I know Yoshi is pretty upset with how the RMTs are still trying to ruin this game tho there really isn't much for them to do and a lot of the stuff is easily soloable and obtained by a player themselves. But the shout spam and the bot spam is enough to ruin the joy of game play for anyone trying to have fun.
That or since these bots are using a 3rd party script that somehow allows them to do this. Why can't SE make a script that cannot be bypassed or unwritten that nodes cannot be harvested from under the map terrain. Anyone who is under there trying to harvest a node gets a 'out of reach' message. I'm sure it can be done because near copperbell mines I was trying to hit the bots inside the mountain wall with mob AoE but it never went thru the wall. Same with trying to target the RMT could see them but couldn't target them. So the same should be implied with the node they shouldn't be able to target/reach it. That or make a script that when you hit the node it registers your players location and if you are located under the map terrain you are instantly error'd from server and cannot log back in for 15 hours or something. I dunno I'm not a programmer or a script writer. But it would help a lot to have one or the other.. Having a group of GMs online in game 24/7 (rotated by ppl irl on workshifts) going to area's where bots are reported and taking action would be the best thing to do.

I guess RMT is a problem, that has no solution. I dislike that about those people. There must be a way. People need to have a account type, so we can blacklist all of them at once, or they get banned. This will allow people who don't blacklist gil sellers and the works , to purchase from them. Everybody else will have to make their own way, with the gamers. Offer them an account type, so we can play without them. Everybody willing to play with them, is frowned upon, but not much else we can expect.
