Yes this also is one of the most basic of spam blocking procedures that has been in use since at least 18 years ago which they have decided against implementing because they know better.

Like in other games like WoW and i think Rift, you have to be a certain level like level 10 to even utilize the shout feature. Or like in FFXI with the chat filters i think there was one for possible spam to be blocked, cant remember havent played in about 8 months.

ive exceeded my blacklist limit, so now i just /busy when i play and that blocks every tell i get. so i can somewhat enjoy the game without getting spammed from RMTer's

some games have lvl restriction until lvl 20 or somthing until you can shout and yell and stuff its definitly not a bad idea

The gold spammers that make the beeping noise are also making me not want to Sub anymore. I have 25 blacklisted in 3 days. Also the GMs in the game via email or via in game reports. Have not done nothing for my potion of phantasia restoration. Even through support when I email I get 6 of the same emails saying in 2 days jt will be fixed and its over 6! Thats not how Blizzard treats its subs members. In a half a hour on Wow or Less u will be fixed right away. I love this game but If they cant do the smallest thing for a customer then its time to leave. Im a long time Subber and if they wont help me or others then they only care about money.

There are no goldsellers in their game, and I haven't seen any bots either. It was so refreshing after playing Aion (which is also filled with bots and goldspammers).
Now... entering a full bot and goldspamming game again this discourages me.

So yeah... Square, I have no idea how Enmasse prevents the goldspammers and bots from Tera but please look into it and inplant this system or whatever in FF.

I fully agree with you, I play both Tera and The Secret world, they are the only mmos I have ever played that have no rmt spam or botting. I think Square/Enix needs to find out how they do prevent gold spamming though I know that Enmasse does not allow anyone in any chat, or messages, to use email or web addresses. There are ways around that, so it may be some other function on the back end. Tera is a very popular game so you know that it would be an mmo that gold sellers would very much like to advertise there. TSW has a strong following but probably not popular enough to be worth any gold seller presence.
Aion has had good and bad periods with the gold spam, but so far Final Fantasy XIV has been the worst of any mmo so far. I constantly blacklist them, I gave up on reporting, there are times it gets so bad I wouldn't be able to play the game if I spent all my time reporting.

Tera has whisper lock until level 5 general cap is also 5 and gobal was 15+ i wish they had this for FF because trying to get in the game where people keep making bots is horrible cant play with my friends because of bot making over fills the world

I cancelled my subscription tonight because of the gold seller spam. Completely ridiculous. Simple solution...right-click report spam or ignore. Bad enough they get away with flooding chat so nobody can read , but then I have to remember their silly scramble of letters they call a name and use my game time to type it in. How was this not taken care of already?! And when I hit escape while I am typing I expect it to CLEAR what I was typing and then decided not to say when I hit escape. But nope, gotta go delete it or backspace it. Beautiful game with a broken chat log.

You can copy paste. Many of you are blaming SE for the problem. It starts with the people who buy from the Goldsellers. Then proceeds to the people who fail to secure their accounts. Yes there are features in other games like Rift that made it easier to report RMT. You can report them in the support. All you do is send in the server, their name and copy paste their line, submit.

There also is a whole lot more going on other than spam, like instant travel, rapid harvest. etc. Sometimes its necessary to let things go rampant for a while to catch as many offenders as possible in one fowl swoop. As you saw a few days ago they have nabbed over 7000 accounts. Many MMO's start out like this, and over time the 'weedin' out of these posers will get done.

Quitting this early because of something so small only shows how little patience people have....Kids these days...
