More than level restriction on shouts, I'd favor the idea to block shouts at all, when the user is still on free trial.
As long as trial is intended on "feeling" the game in order to purchase the subscription, shout interaction is not a game breaker at that stage of things.

I totally agree the the gold spammers is a major problem, it is non stop and constant pm's. It be nice if you could do one of the following

1.) When you blacklist, it blacklist people on that entire account.
2.) Right click the persons name to report not have to go threw 2 pages to report someone.
3.) be able to have anonymous tab check it so no one can see you online or view you online.


To be honest I have played allot of mmo's and have seen this problem but most games take extreme action against it.
I just pisses me off to block one and 3 more message me it's like they know I blocked them.

i absolutely hate the gold spammer pm's . Within minutes of logging in, I receive them. always from dumb names like zxcvxcv zcvzxvzc. It's gotten so bad that I don't have an alert sound telling me that I received a pm . I don't even have any of my logs displaying pm's anymore.

A right click the persons name to blacklist or report would be nice but nope. Right clicking someones name in chat log allows you to add them as a friend or replay back. great.

It would be nice if right clicking a persons name has more options such as examine and black list.

Give it a few hours ... You'll be able to blacklist them by clicking on their name with patch 2.1. Which you can download now!

Why not have what FFXI has, instead of turning off the /tell's have a spam filter that will filter out the RMT's /tell's and you can still have your /tell's show up in your chat windows. You wouldn't even see the RMT spam, and maybe have the same thing for the /shout and /Yell as well.

there is a very easy macro solution

/blist add "<r>"

of course, this gets tiresome too...
i would personally like to see blacklist applied to all characters on an account.
