I never played FFXI, friends told me it was a terrible game... I am so sad i didn't, that video truly looked like it had amazing places. I heard FFXI had bad graphics who ever told me was wrong. Some of the effects in that video looked better than FFXIV's graphics, like the real-time world reflections on the water, the ripples. The sea life in the crystal clear water, birds flying, flowers blossoming. It looked like it was a world that was around for a million years. FFXIV game took a step back in water I say, well at least in some aspects. Sometimes FFXIV does look nicer than the water in the video I saw.

Where is all the farm land, Where do people get their food in the world of FFXIV, sure there are botanist, but a few shrubs surely couldn't feed an empire. Where are the wind mills that grind the grain. Why do we have Gridania the maze of a town, and a maze of roads? Make it an open forest and have more waterfalls and lakes, and wild life.

Where was the place the intro video started in where they were fighting that morbol. I really want to go there!

Where are the merchants walking from town to town selling their wares, where are the npcs that walk around town on their daily life, doing their daily task. I want to see movement; I want my monitor to be a window into a living breathing world. Right now it’s just a window into a movie set, with players running around. No life... nothing.

I take back the last statement there is some life, but you really have to try hard and look for it...
