True, if I need to go to San d'Oria, as a WHM, and if I have time, I always Teleport-Holla and WALK there, while enjoying the atmosphere in between. Sadly, in 14, I DONT have any mood to do this, since it is so boring.Yes, the FF11 atmosphere is still the best i ever seen (i logged in in LaThein Plateau only to have a walk in that awesome place.. my fave ever). And that video is always so awesome to see.. I think also FF14 could become something like that with some works. First of all on the old zones (like mentioned in the other "bring to life" thread). And when they'll add new zones, they could work much more on atmosphere and to give true 'life' at the enviroment. Hope to have the same sensation of that video in ff14, one day.
I would say "everything" but that some kind of whining. Oh well... ><
Lol. Yea, well how ironic as it may seem maybe the Garlean empire will bring more life in this game.
I have to agree, Theres a lot of scenery enhancements that need to happen.
Some things I'd suggest.
Limsa Lominsa: Limsa is a sea side grassland on top of rocks. The only way for the grass to populate would be airborne seeds. So there should be plants that look like they are distributing seeds. The air should be filled with a slight pollinated haze Nothing drastic just a subtle bits of pollen and airborne seeds floating about here and there.
Any place where the Sea hits rocks it should crash not "wave about gently" It would only be gentle if it was a lake not the wide ocean.
Definitely add things like whales and large fish floating about when on the boat as well as have the water crash more against the side of the boat.
Ul'dah: lots of things like Vultures, small insects and lizards that fitter about everywhere. Temperate Visual Occurrences. Heat Haze etc.
Gridania: Burn it to the ground and start over.
I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders. Thank You SE, Thank You Community Team, Thank You Yoshi-P.
A few things... Simple things though, because the game is for the most part REALLY good (or what I've played of it anyways)
-Compatability with chipsets and smaller videocards
-Sentinels
-Comprehensive mechanics for each discipline instead of the large amounts of overlap
-As always... Chocobos... don't show them off to us if we can't have 'em
-Moogle and Goblin pets would be awesome?
What the game doesn't need:
-Raid Gear
-Higher Level Caps
-Anything level or rank intensive
-More races
-More racial benefits
-Anything which takes away from a player based economy

What FF14 needs is more to do for all the lvl 50 players there is now ,like more NMs and more NMs. Getting tired of the same drops week after week. They should have done this to keep core players interested and excited about new weapon parts and item drops for crafters. At the same time getting more great group battle exitement. Hope this happens in next patch. Still love the game but tired of leveling more characters ,not having retainer space for that and not having enough for main class to do. And by the way I think the graphics are awesome, better than any I have seen on any game but agree that there could be more "true life depth" such as NMs appearing from the sky or out of the ground instead of just being there all of a sudden. STILL HAVE FAITH FOR BETTER THINGS TO COME!!
