Is anyone also getting this?

I'm downloading the patch right now, so I have yet to try. But sadly, 1017 was not an error. This was the solution that SE implemented as a result of the limited server capacity. They said they will continue to limit logins as they verify that the servers can handle the new load, so sadly, I would not doubt that this error message is still displaying.
*Edit* I received the 1017 login error when I attempted to log in. Five attempts later and it let me into the game without placing me in the queue.

Took me about 2hrs to download the patch. Still 1017 error....multiple times. There was no point in the upgrade if there still isn't an afk kick timer and still not being able to access the game. Time is ticking...this is pay to play...and my 7 free days will do nothing for me if I still can't access the game. Your best bet is to probably start over on a new character since there is no transfer if you still want to play.
It...took you 2 hours? It took me 2 minutes at best...
What was to reason for the servers going down yesterday? Log in today server is still full. Go to make a character on another server to avoid this and only 2 servers (EU of course) that I can make a character on. Okay now this is getting beyond stupid.
They're still tweaking the server loads to make sure they don't crash. This was to be expected because they stated this fact in their updates on the launcher. It may still take a couple of days to flesh out what the servers can handle now.
But why is this still an Error instead of sticking us in a queue? Seriously how difficult can that be, every other company on the planet seems to have figured out how to make a working queue. This is pretty basic stuff.
Because queues put load on the servers also. This error you're getting is intentional. Think of the servers like a water balloon. When you fill the balloon up with water, you don't put the tap on full stream, you keep it slow and steady until you get to the point where you think the balloon can't handle anymore water... They're just going to slowly open up the servers to more people, they just can't do it all at once. Server load basics right there.
Nevertheless, they halted sales of the digital copy. They know exactly the number of people that the game has to support, and should have upgraded not only the capacity for concurrent connections on the servers, but also the capacity for the queue itself. Project management basic right there.Because queues put load on the servers also. This error you're getting is intentional. Think of the servers like a water balloon. How the is that a serious load? The server is already handling AI, game physics, character input, updating the client with all relevant data, etc. The operation of the queue should be so minimal in comparison that it should be virtually non-existent.Because queues put load on the servers also. Besides, if management of the queue is so intense, I would think it could just be on a separate piece of hardware if you're so worried about it impacting the gameplay of clients currently in the game and playing.
If you make an MMO, and your solution to the too many log ins problem is that you can only have a few hundred people in the queue, I think you've done something horribly, horribly wrong.
