this needs to get fixed before things spiral out of control, botters will be rampant otherwise. just look at who controls the mining market in eve online to see how much destruction this can bring if not fixed

I agree. You can already see an impact on the market with some items going for much less than they should be currently in mass amounts. WHen I see 1 or 2 going real cheap I just assume its someone who didn't know what it was worth. But when you see a couple hundred cheap you know its a botter.

If it's a farmed material from DoL, supply is heavily outstripping demand so prices will drop. The value of an item is in a) the supply and b) the demand. If a > b then price <. If b > a then price >. The value of an item is not the value you consider the item to have. You're actually more likely to get a human player undercut heavily on items anyhow so they sell quicker, they look at what is for sale, undercut so theirs sells first, the true value of an item to me is an item that has sold, not one sitting on my retainer unable to sell because other players are selling for less.
