Bot Issue

Tonight I was told about a few botters that were in Eastern Thanalan up passed Highbridge near Burgundy Falls. I decided to take a few minutes to record them just to show their behavior. It was a group of 7 Archers Mostly all in level 1 starter gear with bows in the level 15 range and a Conj that had some gear. They were standing in a circle and just kept killing things around them without moving. I stopped the recording and s hortly after the fate for the yellow Phurble spawned right on top of them.

I wanted to bring attention to others here to keep an eye out for this kind of activity and maybe show more evidence to SE.

I reported someone camped out at Everschade just shooting whatever spawned. Their actions looked very robotic in nature. They were level 19 grinding on level 14 monsters, so yeah.

this needs to get fixed before things spiral out of control, botters will be rampant otherwise. just look at who controls the mining market in eve online to see how much destruction this can bring if not fixed

I agree. You can already see an impact on the market with some items going for much less than they should be currently in mass amounts. WHen I see 1 or 2 going real cheap I just assume its someone who didn't know what it was worth. But when you see a couple hundred cheap you know its a botter.

These also were on Adamantoise. I reported them as well. They were also getting the fate that spawns there.

If it's a farmed material from DoL, supply is heavily outstripping demand so prices will drop. The value of an item is in a) the supply and b) the demand. If a > b then price <. If b > a then price >. The value of an item is not the value you consider the item to have. You're actually more likely to get a human player undercut heavily on items anyhow so they sell quicker, they look at what is for sale, undercut so theirs sells first, the true value of an item to me is an item that has sold, not one sitting on my retainer unable to sell because other players are selling for less.

well, for one person, making a macro with target nearest + use skill x, then using turbobutton on your 10$ gamestop controller, which yes, is legal to use, well, its not really that hard to do, and its of course not botting. Though, with 7 people doing it togheter, its quite clear that its botting...

It's not necessarily botting. A lot of users also mutli-box and tie each instance of the game to one keyboard so each character does the same action at the same time.
