Should I buy or wait longer?

I've been waiting patiently for today to buy the game because of the addition of new servers and the promise of error fixes, so I'm asking the community, is the game playable now? Are the same problems happening? Did the addition of new servers solve anything? I have no problem waiting longer. I do have a problem buying the game and not being able to play though..

I love the game, but you might want to wait another week.

There's still lots of problems going on and now a new 3102 problem has appeared after the 10 hours of maintenance from yesterday which was supposed to fix other problems (which it may/may not have done).

Cool thanks for the replies fellas. I will wait to buy until I hear the main problems have been properly fixed. I might just buy it and register on the 8th or 9th so I can take advantage of the free 7 days.

You posted in a forum where the majority of angry players are. You're going to get the "DONT BUY THIS SHITTY GAME" response for the next month...

The people who would say yes are for the most part all online playing the game at the moment...

It's my understanding that you get the free 30 days from the day you purchase the game. So even if you wait a month you should still receive that free time.

I'd hang out and wait until the major server issues have been resolved.

Yeah the free 30 days comes with the game no matter when you buy it, but I heard that you can take advantage of the 7 free days if you register on or before the 9th, so 37 days sounds better to me.

And I know a lot of people on the forums are the ones not able to play, I'm just trying to get an educated guess on the state of the game. I could very well end up being a rager on the forums if I had bought it. I'm never very lucky :/

I think you'll be fine... Just buy it and wait til Monday to register if you're that concerned. By then you'll have your free 7 days and another 30 ontop of that. Should be fixed by then, otherwise I guarantee SE will issue another week long trial, so you'll get even more extra time if there are issues. Keep an eye on the lodestone in the meantime. Don't listen to what the ragers have to say, as its mostly just negative BS. I've been one of the lucky ones able to play since early release day with little to no problems - other than being locked out for the entirety of beta phase 4.

I would buy it now and register it on the 8th. From what I hear it's hard to get a hold of in some areas. Do you know for sure that it's available around you? Seriously the game is awesome when you get to play. These issues wont last forever people acting like it's the end of the world is pretty amazing. I understand being pissed of I really do I like thousands of others are in the same boat. Just take a chill pill people. MMO's get better with time don't believe me? Take FFXI and Everquest as an example. After 3 years of a terrible game this one is a must buy!

So true.... Honestly, the reason people are raging so hard, is because deep down they really love this game and can't stand to not be able to play. It has nothing to do with the fact that they wasted $30 on a game... How many times have you wasted $50 or $60 on a game that you hated and just didn't care and didn't want to even pick it back up again? If they REALLY hated it that much, they'd return it and get their money back and stop bitching and move on....

They're mad because this game is so good and they're not able to play when they want because of the complex technology that goes behind one of these games.

It seems a large handful of players got locked out this morning, probably due to the new structure they're using at the datacenters, but it also seems that they have been prompt about fixing them. A large handful of players I know that were affected, are now able to login.

And yes, logging in is very easy now. No more mashing keys, no more frustration lack of queues, and no more being trolled with 1017 when you do finally get into a queue. I was one of the people affected by the new 3102. Wasn't able to login from 8am til 1:30pm. Now that I'm on I've had not a single issue. I have also tried logging out and back in again... no problems. Always instant. Got in a queue once and waited about 2 minutes tops.

I would say its worth buying now for the extra 7 days of the free trial. Any issues that are still lingering will more than likely be solved by next week - during the extra free 7 days.
