Consistent client crashes

This morning, after maintenance, I was able to play the game from just after 7AM PST until about 11AM PST. At that time, the game client crashed for an unknown reason. Since then, the client has crashed every time at the character select screen (more specifically, the "Now Loading" screen that appears in the process) as it attempts to log me back in. It is not a 1017/2002/3102 error, or anything like that, but a problem with Windows that is causing the crash. Unfortunately, I still have yet to decipher the cause.

I have run virus/malware scans. I have uninstalled/reinstalled video/audio drivers. I have turned down audio settings from 48K Hz quality to 44.1K Hz. I have shut down and restarted my computer. Pretty much every 'quick-fix' I've seen posted here by others so far. But nothing has worked.

I'm really not interested in uninstalling/reinstalling the game, but will as a last resort (my character would still be saved if I did that, right?).

Is there anything else that I might be able to do before taking such a drastic step?

Well, I thought I had fixed the problem. I got ~10 minutes into a session before yet another crash.

Ideas?
