Sorry if this comes across as abbrasive, but WTF game are you playing? Cure is the most unsightly spell effect ever seen.

First the mage assumes casting position. Next thing you know, hideous, flat sparkles spew out from his wand. And then, before you know it, a whirlpool of purple lines is summoned forth from a First Year student's Maya tutorial. Then - if it wasn't bad enough already - every single person in your party is surrounded by green, white, glittering, uglifying, blinding petals of light.

I'd rather just die next time in battle than have to endure the eye-sore that is the Cure in this game. Next time just don't heal me, please.

And while many archer and Pugilist weaponskills are nice, an equal amount are not. Wait until you have to perform Raging Strike. It goes something like this: [insert youtube video of He-man charging up with one-dimensional, red flames covering his whole body for no reason, and a sound effect that makes scratching chalkboards sound like Mozart]

Sorry, but there's just no artistry to the spell effects, and with the exception of a few weaponskills, pretty much every other effect in the game is hideous.

Even crappy Korean grinders can do 3-dimensional spell effects and maintain some level of dignity in their designs: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nlTAZj81h_o

I don't know why SE considers it beneath them to bother bringing the game into the 21st century.

yes, please.. SE please at least allow us to toggle other peoples casting/action lighting effects off till you can redo all the casting/action lighting animations. It also doesn't help that our target icons are airbrush light just like all the lighting effects and makes it hard to see when theres a ton of lighting effects going off at once. Maybe slap a little boarder on the target icons too?
