Petition: Free server transfers with new servers on Wednesday

I know this has been brought up in many other posts and threads, but I figured getting a petition out might be helpful.

I strongly feel that free server transfers should be given to the players when the new servers come up on Wednesday and in a way are a necessity to fix the current overpopulation problems.

My reasons for this are as twofold.

- Many players had to create characters on different servers, such as Japanese servers, because the servers that they wanted to get on were locked. While I am not one of these players, I feel that they should be given the chance to be able to get onto the server their friends are on and play with their friends since that is one of the main points of playing an MMO.

- Players being able to transfer servers and move from the overpopulated ones to the new servers is necessary to spread out the player population and alleviate the congestion on the current servers. Just adding new servers will allow new players to come in but the overpopulation problems of all the servers that are already in place will continue and all the players that have been affected by the problems and have been patiently waiting for fixes will not have been helped.

I fear they may do forced migrations... would prefer for us to have a say where we go. Thing is, they need a means for us to tell just how full a target server is in the first place so we might be able to avoid this mess in the future.

I agree 100% about SE needing to implement server population info next to the server name.

I'd rather be more hopeful on having them fix our login issue, then worry about the transfers later. IMO, I think there will be a free transfer, but I don't know about the specific date.

Getting people off of the servers and onto new servers will fix some log-in issues. The 1017, for instance. Give people the option to transfer off of servers for a period of time and viola! the servers are less congested. Adding more servers is probably the best thing that SE can do regarding log-in issues and giving free transfers is the right thing to do in such a case because people aren't going to want to just start over on those new servers. They'll want to keep playing the characters they've been trying to level despite the log-in issues. Now all SE needs to do is add a system that kicks AFK players after being AFK for ~30+ minutes or so.

Agreed. After the new servers come in, free transfers would be most appreciated. Gotta do it, SE.

I do agree with you, however, I do not think that the JP to EU/NA transfer will be a possibility. I think they will offer this free service, but not cross-region.
