Sony refunding XIV PS3 buyers

"All customers that purchased the digital version of the FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn Standard Edition, or Collector's Edition, from PlayStation Network on 27th or 28th August will receive a full refund and will be able to find the funds in their wallet as soon as this is processed. In addition, the entitlements of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Standard Edition or Collector's Edition will be reset and the title will appear again in the download list."

From the wording it looks like a blanket refund meaning people will have to repurchase the game if they want to continue playing?

No.. That happened the weekend of the early access, all who bought digital on those dates got refunded because we couldn't get early access, they renewed our services lists by a free download so we could play

No, it states clearly, if you purchased the game on the 27th or 28th of August, Early Access was the 24th August till the 27th August, this has nothing to do with EA and all to do with Sony refunding anyone who purchased the game on those two dates.
