I hear birds singing, but where are they?

So I was running around the Black Shroud, handing in my local leves. I had the music off and thought it was quite relaxing with just the birds singing. But...where are they? There's not a single bird in sight (apart from the bird mobs, but they don't count). There are birds in all the other areas, but none in the Black Shroud. It's just not on!

So please, when you redesign the Black Shroud, please add a few birds flying around here and there, yeah?

Yeah. I hear waves crashing in Lomsa Lominsa, yet the water always looks super calm. Where are the 'thrashing waves' against the rock cliffs, or how bout some boats sailing beneath those enormous bridges in Lomsa Lominsa?

They do need more detail in the enviroment and things happening here and there.

I agree but SE, for whatever reason, decided to go all out on graphics with this game AND make it work for PS3 so many details have to be left out because of stupid design decisions. Ideas like actual thrashing waves and a dynamic lively world and like someone mentioned yesterday about allowing us to build settlements out in the open world...those all sound well and good but there is no way the PS3 can handle all this stuff considering the reason they delayed that release is because of RAM issues.

Just because the PS3 could potentially be unable to handle environmental effects doesn't mean the PC users can't have 'em.
As much as I hate to pull the FFXI card, well... FFXI had varying levels of environmental effects in the settings.
PS2 was set to either off or low and couldn't be changed whereas the PC had settings for off, normal and smooth in the config program. Pretty sure 360 was set to normal.

Well considering birds, waves, ships and player built settlements are hardly considered environmental effects, you can see why they would have to leave those aside.

I have so much woodsin its not even funny :/ those damn sylphs tricked me :[ But on a serious note, the only way I'd see serious stuff like this added to the game...is if they added loading zones, just due to FPS and the current lag issues for all regions.
