Warrior, and my thoughts

I play as a Warrior, not 50 but close. So i cant say how viable they are as a main tank in say a legit raid. I will say, ran Stone Vigil the other night. ON the final boss (forget the dragons name) dps all died to ice at about 75%, healer died at 50%. from 50% on, i soloed the boss and a win. took awhile, but it happened. I know this boss doesnt do a ton of damage, most of which can be avoided. but still.

My point is, if you know how to rotate cooldowns and use your heals to your advantage a WAR seems to pretty viable. KNowing when a large attack is coming and saying your inner beast for that hit helps ALOT.

I will also say, i watched a pally get silver on Svara....he was main tanking....i guess didnt do enough dmg to get gold...or maybe a big, either way. funny

Fact is there are no "solid" numbers or data to support which is "better". I entend to raid tank, possibly main tank just to prove a point. more to come on that

Fellow madman here with a axe, I can tell you for Ifrit hard mode a warrior tanking as main tank is pretty much prefered because everybody wants the paladin to be on stun duty. I also steal aggros from paladins quite frequently. I'm torn from having to upgrade my armor soon because AF armor just looks so bamf and everything else looks... mediocre at best.

from what i see in my FC and from what i know. Warrior just seems to be the way to go if done correctly. Pallys have their place i will give them that. just not sure where that place is.

Well, from what I'm reading it seems pally aren't useless and on certain bosses they are prefered to be the on tank while the warrior should be the off tank. It really is specific to the situation on hand and what it calls for.
