    Constantly Flagged for Suspicious Activity

I have a laptop, a desktop and a crippling video game addiction, meaning when I'm not at home I tend to play games on my laptop. EVERY TIME I try to log in to FFXIV on the laptop using my cell phone's hot spot I get locked out of the account for "suspicious activity." This time I was smart enough to log into the forums first, and it didn't lock me out then, but how can I keep this from happening, since I'm tired of generating a new password every time I want to play from some place other than home.

Cell phones tend not to maintain static IP addresses, and this is likely the root of your problem. How to fix it? Other than with a security key fob, to prove you are you, I have no idea. I was under the impression that most phones generate a constant signal which should lock down your IP for the session when in hotspot mode. So if the IP isn't changing while you play, it's likely just that as far as SE can see, you appear to be logging in from different locations every time.

Adding to what the above said, the only way to stop it flagging your account is to add a security token to your account, then you can login from anywhere without a problem.

Personally I'd recommend the software one as that's easy and works on your phone which you likely have with you all the time, assuming you have a compatible phone of course!
